Time Travelling

Jamie and Jith have some friends over in the living room. K is a tea fanatic. Stephen has an iPhone.

K: Can I have some tea?
Jith: No! It's way too late. If you'd asked an hour ago you could have had some.
K: ???
Jith: If you go back in time and ask me an hour ago you can have some tea then!
Stephen: [Checks phone] ...oh. It's one o' clock. The clocks have gone back.
K: Can I have some tea then?
Jith: Yes, you may.

How is this going to be hard?

12.12am, Tuesday, 31st January
Jamie, Joe and Jith are discussing a unit about Web Technologies.

Jith: I guess he teaches that stuff because there may be people who have never used the Internet before on the unit!
Joe: Yeah, those people DEFINITELY exist on our course...
Jith: I meant to say "people who have never made websites before"!

Jamie and Jith are in the kitchen.
Jith: [Steals water from tap while Jamie is washing up] Sorry!
Jamie: I am not going to accept your apology. You owe me three waffles.
Jith: Here, have some invisible waffles!
Jamie: No, they are the wrong species of waffle. I want actual waffles.
Jith: You didn't specify...
Jamie: Right, next time you ask me to find someone, I'm going to go and dig up a dead body because you weren't being specific!

I'm Not Actually Awake, You Know...

Joe is sitting at his desk, using his computer.

Joe: I need to get up.
Jith: ...but you are up, at your computer!
Joe: No, I mean properly up.

Josh is making a cake.

Joe: [via text to Jith] Who is Josh making cake for?
Jith: Josh, Joe asks who are you making cake for?
Josh: The Right Honourable Lembit Opik.

Sleep Is For The Weak...

3.05am, Sunday 13th Feb
Jith: I've been up for 12 hours. That's pathetic.
Jamie: That's more than me!

Poor Eyesight

1.05am, Friday 21st Jan
Jamie asks Jith to plug his laptop into a hard-to-reach socket.

Jith: I can't see what I'm doing!
Jamie: Well maybe you should have better vision then!
Jith: If your mum had better vision she'd be able to see what a mistake you were!

Night Owls

1.10am, Sunday 5th Dec
Jith: Joe and Josh are going to bed, so we're going to have to be quiet night owls.
Jamie: Cool, let's put on some rave music! [Puts on "Ghosts and Stuff", turns it up.]

Mouse!

4am - 7.30am, Friday 26th Nov
Jith can't get to sleep because there is a weird scratching noise that moves around the room. She turns on the light to find there is a mouse. She tries to get Jamie to help but he is fast asleep. Luckily, Josh and his mouse catching skills come to the rescue.

After an hour of not being able to catch the mouse:
Josh: I wish it would stop acting like it's out on a Sunday stroll!

Barrel of Laughs

12.50am, Thursday 20th Nov
Josh decides to listen to the shipping forecast on Radio 4. He makes an amusing comment when it finishes.

Jith: I'd put that on the blog but it's meant to be family friendly.
Josh: Which family? The Fritzls?

Dude, Where's My Camera?

02.11am, Wed 23rd Nov

Joe: On our last day of school we drank from 12pm until 3 in the morning. I'm never doing that again.
Jith: When we graduate?
Joe: Yeah, okay. I'm easily persuaded.
Jith: Or how about on Thursday for your birthday...or perhaps Friday would be better.
Joe: Yeah, okay.
Jith: Josh, what do you reckon? Drink from 12 in the afternoon until 3 in the morning on Friday for Joe's birthday?
Josh: Yeah!
Jamie: ...shouldn't Josh be doing something special for Joe's birthday?

Sad Ambience

2.00am, Monday, 22nd Nov
Josh has decided to play sad music for the last few hours. He is refusing to allow anything that is too "jaunty". Blink-182's "Miss You" was skipped for being too "happy". Whistling has been banned in Josh's room. Jamie and Jith have decided the reason for this sadness is Joe being absent from the flat. We all sincerely hope he will return soon.

Lucky Escape

12.38am, Sunday 21st Nov
Jith is working on a presentation in Josh's room. She leaves to get a drink.

Josh: [Locks the door.]
Jith: Let me in.
Josh: You haven't locked your laptop! This could be fun...

MASSIVE DAY OF WORK

2.45pm, Saturday 20th Nov
Joe has gone home for the weekend. The others have realised they should probably go to the computer labs to finish off coursework. Josh is still in bed.

Jith: Lunch, then we go to the lab! Alex is coming too.
Jamie: What about Josh?
Jith: Don't touch him.
Jamie: What about Joe?
Jith: Don't touch him.
Jamie: Is there anyone I can touch?
Jith: No.
Jamie: What about your mum?
...

Happy Pills!

1.30am, Wednesday 17th Nov
Jamie has recently appropriated a Playstation 2 in order to complete Final Fantasy X. He has been playing this game non stop for the last few hours. Jith and Joe are sitting in his room annoying him.

Jith and Joe: [singing along wonderfully loudly and raucously to Jamie's video game music]
Jamie: Can you two take some pills to calm down?
Joe: [shouting like a crazy] WE TAKE HAPPY PILLS! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

Joe's Future Child

11.30pm, Monday 15th Nov
The gang have been watching the video of a small child playing Jason Mraz on a ukulele.

Jith: When I get a kid, I'm going to give it a musical instrument.
Joe: I'm gonna give mine a gun.
Jith: They can team up and fight crime!
Joe: Yeah, totally! ...and then my baby will merc your baby!
